Forgotten Factories

Behind the scenes documentary of a recent urban exploring trip to “somewhere” in Charleroi, Belgium. Me and my partner in crime (@michellefrancq) started with visiting an old cooling tower. I saw it for the 4th time, but is was a first for her.. a Belgian classic. The Power Plant was built in 1923 and was closed down in 2007.

Next we went to some abandoned office and factory buildings across the river. Playing with all the dark shadows vs light, searching for interesting textures and shapes like broken windows.

From there on we explored a few different area’s all situated in Charleroi, looking for more abandoned buildings. We found tunnels beneath the surface, tall buildings with crazy views and at the end of the day we even found an abandoned church. We found out that the floor in the church has been dug up by archeologists in the past, looking for human remains..

Niki

Me and Niki do a shoot 2-3 times a year, it’s always just a fun time. Here are some pics from 4/20. We went to a parking lot next to a river. It’s mostly used by truck drivers, who btw loved the shoot and were looking the whole time lol. Glasses are provided by Komono.

Oh and by the way she has an “only fans”! Go subscribe if you like what you see <3

Girl with a heartbreak </3

What I like to do first is have a genuine conversation with the model, drink a coffee/beer and connect. I try to focus on telling a story. In this case Flore was suffering from a recent break-up, I could almost feel the pain. The first time we met we just talked for a long a time, after the talk I took a few analogues and that’s it. A week or 2 passed and we met up again. This time to do a proper shoot, visualising the feeling of her break up. You can see the sadness, emptiness in her eyes. Take a good look.

CAT + CAKE + CARINA

Lier - 19/04/2020

Friends are important. It has been over a month since I last saw Anna Carina. She invited me over for a photo walk and made an amazing carrot cake (one of her specialties). We walked in a random direction, through forests, fields, suburbs and basically just followed our instinct. This are some pictures that I took this day. Hope u enjoy :-).
